Trip to the island of La Palma

I have been to La Palma many times, after I visited it for the first time in the nineties. Most of the visits have been related to culture, events in which I have had the pleasure of participating.
However, this time the visit was touristic, because my son had never been on this beautiful island and we decided to schedule the visit for the days before Easter, before the holidays because the hotels and airports are at their best.

The truth is that the island of La Palma is an island that never ceases to surprise you, because wherever you go you always find something that leaves you with your mouth open, especially its lush vegetation that rises from the coast and is becoming increasingly leafy as you climb to the summits of the island.
We didn't waste any time, and the first day we dedicated them to stocking up and visiting Santa Cruz de La Palma, a city that, in its old part, seems as if you had travelled back in time.
On the second day we enter the interior of the island and visit the cubo de la Galga, a path whose vegetation represents the ancient Laurisilva forests that were in most of the Canary Islands.
After visiting the La Galga ravine, we went straight to the Charco Azul, to the coast, to the municipality of San Andrés and Sauces to take the first bath of the year and the water was crystal clear, but very cold; it was in and out.
After the bath we returned to the mountain to visit the waterfall of Los Tilos, which is in the municipality of San Andrés and Sauces, but with such bad luck that there was no waterfall because the water had been diverted to irrigate the banana plantations, but still the place is impressive.
The next day we visited the Roque de los Muchachos and the international observatories that are in the area, with a landscape worthy of being visited that offer us a spectacular view of the Caldera de Taburiente.
On our next day we visit the south of the island, where the volcanoes of San Antonio and Teneguía are located. These volcanoes were the protagonists of the last eruptions that took place in the Canary Islands.
That same day we went down to visit the lighthouse of Fuencaliente and the salt mines that are in that same place. A salt mine that produces salt that is marketed on the island of La Palma and exported.

The last day we toured the western part of the island, Los Llanos, Tazacorte, Puerto Naos and Tijarafe.
Undoubtedly an island to visit and enjoy its people and its magnificent landscapes.

¿Qué he visto en Netflix? Un monstruo viene a verme

OPINIÓN
El pasado domingo vi en Netflix «Un monstruo viene a verme» y me dejó una buena impresión, ya no solo por la manufactura de la película, que es espectacular, sino también por su narrativa, que trata un tema tan peliagudo como el de la muerte en el mundo de la infancia, sobre la incomprensión de un niño, que no entiende el proceso de la enfermedad y la muerte y esa incomprensión lo lleva a viajar por el mundo de los sueños.
Una realidad que el director, J. A. Bayona, intenta plasmar con una intensidad precisa y llena de momentos dramáticos, que para algunos serán excesivos y para otros justos y necesarios.

OPINIÓN
No cabe duda de que el teatro te reconvierte, ya que cuando entras en él, ya no eres el mismo porque sufres una transformación en todos tus flancos. Sin embargo, esa magia no siempre se produce, se tienen que dar una serie de combinaciones que se dieron el pasado viernes en el teatro Cuyás.
Sí, al final de la obra de Prévand, salí transformado, no solo por el buen texto sobre el que se construye la obra, sino por el magnífico tándem interpretativo que pusieron sobre las tablas del teatro Cuyas, los actores Pere Ponce y Josep Maria Flotats, que me hicieron disfrutar de una maravillosa noche de teatro.
Sí, al final de la obra de Prévand, salí transformado, no solo por el buen texto sobre el que se construye la obra, sino por el magnífico tándem interpretativo que pusieron sobre las tablas del teatro Cuyas, los actores Pere Ponce y Josep Maria Flotats, que me hicieron disfrutar de una maravillosa noche de teatro.
LA PUESTA EN ESCENA
El salón de la casa de Voltaire es el lugar en el que se desarrolla toda la obra, ni más ni menos, en el que Voltaire y Rousseau, se desenvuelven y resuelven sus disputas filosóficas, ayudados por una iluminación acertada, que juega a favor del desarrollo e interpretación de la obra que está en escena.
LOS ACTORES
Josep Maria Flotats y Pere Ponce son dos grandísimos actores y sus grandes actuaciones les preceden. La noche del viernes, en el teatro Cuyás, lo volvieron a demostrar de una manera absoluta, con un nivel interpretativo sublime, llevando a sus personajes hasta lo más alto que se podía llevar, jugando con la ironía, el sarcasmo y el humor cuando el texto lo necesitaba, cerrando una interpretación difícil de olvidar para los que amamos el teatro.
LA DIRECCIÓN
Josep Maria Flotats toma las riendas de la dirección y su resultado es exquisito, ya que logra mantener la atención del espectador durante la obra, jugando con los giros escénicos e interpretativos, ayudado por la ironía y sarcasmo de Voltaire, que interpreta el propio Flotats y la agudeza de Pere Ponce.
El TEXTO
El texto de Jean-François Prévand es un texto que, a priori, podría parecer enrevesado y, de hecho, en algunas partes lo es, pero se resuelve muy bien con las dosis justas de humor, que enriquecen el texto y lo hacen más digerible, con la ayuda inestimable de los actores, que son uno de los puntales que fortalecen la obra de Prévand.
SINOPSIS
Rousseau va de visita a la casa de Voltaire, para intentar averiguar quién ha escrito un panfleto que lo difama de manera injusta.
