¿Qué he visto en Netflix? Titanes

OPINIÓN

Ayer terminé de ver la primera temporada de Titanes en Netflix y tengo que decir que me dejó muy buena impresión, a pesar de que no soy un fiel seguidor de películas o series de ciencia ficción, pero, en este caso, la serie tiene suficientes argumentos para verla de principio a fin porque tiene una buena trama y un buen ritmo cinematográfico.
Quizás, por ponerle un pero, hay una serie de capítulos, como el 9 (Hank and Dawn) que son una especie de respiro que se toma la serie, aunque, en mi opinión, totalmente innecesarios porque la serie funciona muy bien para añadirle aditamentos que poco aportan.
Así que Titanes es una serie que vale la pena ver, con todos los aditamentos necesarios para disfrutarla desde el primer capítulo hasta el último. Ya estoy esperando la entrega de la siguiente temporada.

SINOPSIS

Winter flower

Winter is here, but this one also has its flowers and it is a pleasure to meet them anywhere in my city, a pleasure for my eyes.

I can't go by without stopping to take a picture of them and get a close-up, if the light allows it, as was the case. I took the photo at noon and I looked for the exact position to immortalize this beautiful flower, which is a Gazania.

As you can see is a spectacular flower, with a combination of colors (red wine, white, yellow and green) that makes it very striking, more in these times, when the flowers are not in all their splendor and we have to wait until spring to see the explosion of colors.

That was the reason why I took a close-up, because I did not want to miss any detail of this beautiful Gazania.

Street wings

As a song said, "You don't need wings to make a dream" and the truth is that it is. All it takes is determination and hard work, but it wouldn't be bad to have beautiful wings to take flight.

I've always dreamed of flying, having that superpower and flying wherever I want. I don't know if it's happened to you, but it's a wonderful feeling. Dream interpreters say that dreaming of flying is related to freedom, although I relate it to power and also to happiness, because when I return I feel powerful and happy.

It's true that I rarely have this kind of dreams, but when I do, I love them and I wake up very happy.

I found these wings when I was coming out of a literary-musical event: Rocks & Books that was held in my city, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and in which I had the immense honor of participating. When I saw them, I was impressed and decided to photograph them. It is true that light did not help much, because the lighting in this area is yellow light, not white, but still I decided to take a picture and the result is what they have seen.

El apocalipsis a dos minutos

Sí, así lo mantiene el Boletín de Científicos Atómicos que dicen que estamos a dos minutos del final del mundo. Lo aseveran después del análisis de los datos que obtienen de las tensiones entre los países más poderosos del mundo, que poseen los arsenales atómicos más grandes y devastadores y que pueden utilizar en caso de un conflicto bélico.

Sin embargo, no solo se teme que una guerra nuclear puede devastar la tierra que conocemos, sino que también añaden que el cambio climático puede acelerar el fin de la vida en la tierra y desaparecer de ella para siempre.

Está claro que estos dos minutos es una gran metáfora, pero una metáfora muy esclarecedora, que nos tiene que hacer pensar qué estamos haciendo en nuestro planeta, y ponernos alerta de que algo tenemos que hacer para preservar la vida en la tierra de ahora y la tierra del futuro. De no ser así, si no tomamos medidas, estamos a pocos segundos del pitado final, del gran temido GAME OVER.

Lo peligroso es que ese reloj lleva detenido en esa posición desde el año pasado y eso no había pasado nunca. Ese es un detalle muy importante que hay que tener en cuenta. Hay destacar que esto ha ocurrido al mismo tiempo que los locos Trump, Putin y Kim Jong-un están en el poder, tres mandatarios que solo tienen en su cabeza la palabra fuego y muerte. Estos gobernantes han ido tomando medidas políticas y militares que nos han puesto un poquito más cerca del final.

Sé que a la mayoría de los humanos esto le da igual y a los presidentes locos más todavía, pero es, sin duda, una llamada de atención para poder tomar alguna medida para darle para atrás a ese apocalíptico reloj.

No me gusta ser catastrofista, pero lo cierto es que ahí están los datos. Solo tenemos que detenernos y observar el mundo que nos rodea y percatarnos de que a estos científicos, de reconocido prestigio, no les falta razón.

Casual Encounter

I walked into the mall and sat on a bench next to a middle-aged couple. The man looked at me and moved out of his place, as if he wanted to keep his distance from me. She looked at me for a moment and smiled at me. I took out my e-book and began to read the last chapter of the essay "Neural Dystopias and its Consequences on Bernert Wallpart's Mathematical Learning". When he was beginning the first paragraph, he would say to her:

"For me, order is very important. You know that very well. We can't get to the mall without a fixed route. You know that it makes me nervous to go from here to there like a chicken without a head. That's why I'm asking you to take some time to plan your route".

"Yes, I'll know. You're like a train that has to go on pre-set rails". 

With the corner of my left eye I saw that the man was taking out a notebook and asked the woman:

"The first question I want you to answer me, what are we doing here?"

"You know the answer." 

The woman paused and then said:

"Walking".

"Didn't we come to buy some presents for Valentine's Day?"

"Yes and no."

"What does yes and no mean? That's what makes me sick. Can't you be more specific, have an objective?"

"I go for a walk and if I see something that interests me, I buy it. You're a hardcore planner. I, on the other hand, am more about living in the moment."

"Living the moment?"

"Yes, what they call Carpe Diem. To go out into the street with the sole and exclusive objective of letting yourself go, without having anything planned."

"You know very well that I can't do that."

"Look," the woman paused, "we're doing something to keep you calm and help you cope with today's hard day, when you don't have a predefined plan. Your goal today is to sit here and wait for me." Okay? While I go for a walk around the mall and when I finish I'll send you a wasap. What do you think?"

"No, I don't think so. I'm not going to sit here like a fool waiting for you. I'm going home. I have a lot of things to do that I have to waste time doing nothing."

"Well, you've got the goal of the day". 

The woman got up, kissed him on the lips and said:

"See you at home."

"Will you make it in time to eat?"

"I don't know, but don't worry. You know, Carpe Diem."

He turned and left.

The man held the block in his hand for a few moments, while I was reading the last chapter of the essay. Then he got up and went in the direction of the exit of the mall.

I sat there, put away my ebook and walked in the direction of the barbershop. When I got there I went in and canceled the appointment. I was going to dedicate that day to Carpe Diem and, perhaps, a few more days.

¿Qué he visto en Netflix? Colony, segunda temporada

Ayer terminé de ver la segunda temporada de Colony en Netflix y me sigue pareciendo una serie interesante, con los elementos necesarios para seguirla con atención capítulo a capítulo, sin perder de vista la trama principal que se centra en la supervivencia de la familia Bowman que intenta, por todos los medios, salir indemnes de la invasión alienígena.

Lo que es verdad es que los trece capítulos de esta segunda temporada, no son tan trepidantes como los fueron los de la primera entrega y algunos capítulos son un poco prescindibles y que intentan resolver cuestiones que poco tienen que ven con la trama principal que es la que nos interesa.

Sin embargo y, a pesar de esto, la serie me sigue resultado interesante, porque te sigue manteniendo delante de la televisión con la expectación suficiente para no dar el paso de seguir con otra cosa.

Ahora estoy a la espera de que Netflix suba la tercera temporada y que que nos depara la familia Bowman.
