Tranquility

Taking life in peace and enjoying it should be one of the first objectives of our passage through this world because, you only have to look around you, we walk too fast, wanting to get as soon as possible to our destination, finish as quickly as possible the daily tasks, a run that affects us in a silent way and can break our lives without realizing it.

That's why we have to stop and look for that space to find ourselves, breathe and enjoy the moment and try to live life in a slower way. Our head and our health will thank us.

When I saw this person lying on the beach, on that beach puff, I thought we should all do like him, look for the time to lie down to disconnect from the worldly noise and try to disappear for a while and meet again with our self and he is the only thing that matters. Nothing else matters.

I know it's difficult because the world around us pushes us from all directions, but we have to try.

¿Qué he visto en Netflix? Segunda temporada de Baja por enfermedad (Sick Note)

Antes de ayer terminé de ver la segunda temporada de Baja por enfermedad en Netflix, que se compone de ocho capítulos de 23 minutos. Desde que comencé a verla, supe que no me iba a gustar y eso fue lo que ocurrió. 

Ya comenté que la primera temporada me gustó, pero cuando terminó estuve dándole vueltas a cómo continuarían la serie y cómo se las arreglarían los guionistas para estirar la trama de la enfermedad del protagonista. Pues lo hicieron añadiendo varias subtramas un poco inverosímiles y que, en mi opinión, no encajaron bien y dejando la enfermedad de Daniel Glass en un segundo plano.

Lo cierto es que cuando terminó la primera temporada tenía serias dudas porque entendí que, acabada la primera temporada, poco había que hacer porque la historia había perdido interés, por lo menos para mí.
Ahora habrá que preguntarse si Netflix seguirá con el proyecto y grabará una tercera temporada, pero yo apuesto a que no, a que la dejará en el cajón porque esta serie no tiene los mimbres necesarios para seguir con una tercera temporada.

SINOPSIS

Daniel Glass sigue ocultando su enfermedad con la complicidad del Dr. Ian Glennis que le diagnosticó, por error, un cáncer. La trama se complica con la aparición del amigo virtual de Glass, Will_5000 y con la muerte inesperada del dueño de la empresa de seguros, Kenny West y la aparición en escena de su hija, Katerina West que interpreta Lindsay Lohan.

Dissatisfied

I'm not a painter, I want to make that clear; I respect the art of painting a lot, but lately it relaxes me a lot to paint and for it I use Paint, the so famous application of Windows, that allows me to develop some idea that I have in my head. As is the case here, in which I wanted to reflect how square we are and that we need the disconformity, the distortion to continue living because otherwise, we would drown in so much rectitude.

I started the idea by throwing straight lines that I was then converting into geometric figures, which the program allowed me to completely complete the picture and, at the end, paint the center with the palette without having a predefined concept, only the discrepancy with the straight lines.

I chose the center to paint the discrepant lines because this is how many of us in this society feel, surrounded by lines to follow, laws, norms and rules, without being able to do anything else but cultivate nonconformity.

jugando con la inconsciencia de esto que llaman estar vivo,
y cuando respiro, ya estás ahí,
acurrucada en mi estómago,
comiéndome por dentro,
alimentándote de cada aliento que sale de mi ser.

Luego te escondes, te camuflas y desapareces,
no te encuentro y casi no noto tu presencia,
pero sé que estás ahí, esperando a que me duerma,
para volver a sentarte a mi mesa
porque quieres tu ración de mi existencia.

Yo respiro porque sé que no te gusta que respire,
que no te gusta que sea consciente del ahora,
y que no piense en el pasado ni en sus aguas de molinos
ni el futuro ni en sus entelequias de estrellas,
y yo respiro, una y otra vez respiro,
tú te incomodas, te revuelves,
porque sientes el veneno que te aniquila,
entonces, escapas por mi boca
y siento la podredumbre de tu piel
que has dejado en mi alma.

Sonríes, ya lo sé, volverás a buscarme,
cuando esté martilleándo en yunque de la locura,
cogerás el martillo y golpearás con fuerza,
para que no oiga el reptar de tu inmundicia,
que no sienta el siseo de tu lengua bífida,
ni el roce de tu piel fría en mi boca.

Yo espero y respiro.

Bow to the wind

The winds on Las Canteras beach are usually from north or northeast and the position of this sculpture is forward to the wind.

If you stop to observe it closely, it looks like the hull of a Spartan, of those who fought in the battle of Thermopylae, but after a careful observation of percatas that is the bow of a ship heading north.

The two tourists sitting on the starboard side seem to be waiting to get on board, as they take in the magnificent autumn sun on one of the best urban beaches in the world.

I don't want to miss the play of lights and shadows that the sun gives in its game with this sculpture.

¿Qué he visto? Matar a un Ruiseñor

OPINIÓN

Hace unos días volví a ver «Matar a un Ruiseñor» basada en la novela de Harper Lee y tengo que decir que me volvió a encantar. La vi por primera vez hace muchos años, cuando era un adolescente y recuerdo que, entre la revolución hormonal, disfruté mucho de la película.

Casi treinta y cinco años después, quise volver a verla porque me pareció que la película volvía a estar muy de actualidad, en este mundo en el que estamos dándole patadas al que no es igual a nosotros y la nuestra sociedad se está volviendo xenófoba y racista a pasos agigantados. 

Lo cierto es que volví a disfrutar de la increíble interpretación de Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch), haciendo de abogado defensor de Tom Robinson, que está acusado de la violación de una joven del pueblo.

No cabe duda de que la película es una obra de arte, ya no solo por el tema que plantea, sino por todo su conjunto, actores, guion, fotografía y dirección. 

No lo duden. Si no la han visto, no pierdan la oportunidad de verla.

The stairs remind me of life, because from the moment we are born we do not stop climbing steps, one after the other, until we complete our life cycle.

I also assimilate them with the goals, with that of climbing the first step, that if we do not climb it, we will never reach the goal we have set for ourselves, each step being the objectives we have to complete until we reach the end.

However, many times we forget that, in this ascent, we can rest, take a breath because if we don't do it, it can happen that we stay on the road or that we abandon our goal forever. We cannot forget what they say: "Slowly and with good handwriting".
