Los restos de la bicicleta

Ocurre que amarras la bicicleta y cuando vuelves te la encuentras sin la rueda ni el manillar y piensas:

YouTube ya no me quiere; Dtube sí

Así comienza la historia de una ruptura y, como casi siempre, por cuestión de dinero. YouTube rompe conmigo mediante esta triste misiva:

Conforme a los nuevos requisitos de elegibilidad anunciados hoy, tu canal de YouTube ya no es apto para monetización porque no ha superado el nuevo umbral de 4.000 horas de tiempo de visualizaciónen los últimos 12 meses y tiene menos de 1.000 suscriptores. Como consecuencia de ello, tu canal dejará de tener acceso a todas las herramientas de monetización y funcionalidades asociadas al Programa para Partners de YouTube el próximo 20 de febrero del 2018, a no ser que cumplas con estos requisitos en los próximos 30 días. De acuerdo con lo anterior, este correo electrónico constituye una notificación de terminación del acuerdo del Programa para Partners de YouTube con 30 días de antelación.

Sé que mi canal es un canal más que modestito y que mis vídeos interesaban a unos pocos, pero tenía mi público, minoritario, pero mí público. También era evidente que con mis vídeos no me haría un Youtuber de éxito; no tengo cualidades para ello. Solo pretendía usar otro canal de comunicación distinto al escrito.
Sé que los patrocinadores mandan, porque son ellos lo que ponen los euros encima de la mesa para que sus productos se promocionen y quieren que se haga en canales de éxito. Así piensan ellos que debe ser.
Desconozco si con esta estrategia Youtube se equivoca, porque muchos no publicaremos más en ese canal y buscaremos alguna alternativa, como @Dtube para subir nuestros vídeos, un canal en el que tengo la posibilidad de que mis vídeos se moneticen sin depender de la publicidad, sino del criterio de los usuarios de #dtube o de #steemit.
Ya lo dicen por ahí, cuando se cierra una puerta, se abre una ventana, una puerta o el campo entero.
Yo lo tengo claro, haré, poco a poco, el traslado la mayor parte de mis vídeos a Dtube; espero no agobiarlos.
Y como yo, muchos en mi misma situación harán los mismo e emigrarán de forma definitiva hasta Steemit y seremos más fuertes y más grandes y lo que hoy es una tristeza, mañana podrá ser una tremenda alegría.

La minoría nos convertiremos en mayoría.

Armed robbery in Steemit

Yes, the title is flashy, I know, but that's what happened to me:

I've been robbed in Steemit. 

They have not stolen my account, perhaps something more important, at least for me; they have stolen one of my texts. I can explain that.

You know that I have already mentioned in other posts that I find plagiarism and piracy in Steemit totally unacceptable, and users who commit these disrespectful acts should be condemned.

What I am going to tell you has to do with the plagiarism of one of my texts, exactly with the translation of one of my stories, specifically my story  La última nota, written in Spanish, which a Steemit user translated and uploaded into the community as if it were her own.  

The user is @icyy and the translated text is:  https://steemit.com/cervantes/@icyy/the-last-note-of-the-course 

I knew that some scoundrels were using this technique to upload plagiarized translated texts to avoid being hunted by @lince and @cheetah, but what I would never have imagined is that a steemitans would take a text published in Steemit, translate it and publish it as their own.

If plagiarizing a text seems reprehensible to me, what I find utterly disrespectful and shameful is what @icyyy did, because she didn't go Internet to look for a text to plagiarize it after translating it, but she used Steemit's own network to commit the theft.

The fact is that this user sought an interesting objective a priori, because my story  La última nota  has been the text with which I have won the most in Steemit, $76.20 in total, $57.17 after the distribution. What happened is that the @blocktrades whale passed by and voted and we all know what happens when a whale votes for us, automatically our article becomes one of the most visited and voted. 

This thief thought:

 If I translate it into English, maybe I win something with the text.

The truth is that this was not the case, because it did not obtain any kind of benefit.

However, I wonder what would have happened if that text had reached a significant amount of money. It would have bothered me a lot, not because I could have earned some kind of money from the translation, because I have translated it and something I'm gaining, (the text translated by me here) but because of the action in itself of @icyy, who had no qualms about robbing, a companion of his own community and that seems to me to be an absolute disrespect, those of us who form part of our community. 

We have a serious problem with plagiarism and also with piracy and that should not be allowed to happen here. 

It would be necessary to look for some kind of effective methodology that avoids these types of behaviors and when they prove, convincingly, that there was plagiarism, these users should be expelled from the community and if not expelled, at least disable them for a while, because we are not speaking of prestige, plagiarists give exactly the same prestige, but money and when we talk about money, we are talking about when a plagiarist earns a penny, that penny is stopping him from winning a steemitans that is working correctly and when that happens, the system did not work as well as we wanted.

We all know how much it costs to make original content for some people to copy it and also try to profit from their misdeeds.

Yes, I know that there is a lot of controversy about what I said in the previous paragraph, who are the judges? but what do we do in the face of such a flagrant case, with such blunt evidence? Let them continue to do whatever they want, hurting the rest of us who are trying to do our job in the best way possible?

Muchas veces nos cuesta levantarnos para seguir adelante, pero hay que hacerlo, respirar, dar el primer paso y continuar, porque la vida no espera por ti.

Atraco a mano armada en Steemit

Sí, el título es llamativo, lo sé, pero es lo me ha pasado:

me han robado en Steemit. 

No me han robado la cuenta, ni me han engañado con alguna artimaña con las criptomonedas, quizás algo más importante, por lo menos para mí; me han robado unos de mis textos. Me explico.

Ustedes saben que ya he comentado en otras  entradas que me parece totalmente  inaceptable tanto el plagio como la piratería  en Steemit  y los  usuarios que cometen  estas faltas de respeto deberían de ser reprobados.

Lo que les voy a contar tiene que ver el plagio (Robo) de uno de mis textos, exactamente con la traducción de unos de mis relatos,  en concreto  mi relato La última nota,  que una usuaria de Steemit,  lo tradujo y lo subió a la comunidad como si fuese de su autoría. La usuaria es @icyy el texto traducido es este: https://steemit.com/cervantes/@icyy/the-last-note-of-the-course. 

Un atraco a mano armada dentro de Steemit en toda regla.

Yo sabía que algunos sinvergüenzas estaban utilizando esta técnica para subir  textos traducidos plagiados para no ser cazados  por   @lince and @cheetah , pero lo que nunca hubiese imaginado  es que un steemitans  cogiese un texto publicado en Steemit, lo tradujese y lo publicase como propio.

Si plagiar un texto me parece reprobable,  lo que me parece una total falta de respeto y  una vergüenza es lo que hizo @icyy, porque ella no se fue a Internet a buscar un texto  para plagiarlo  después de traducirlo,  sino que  utilizó la propia red de Steemit para acometer su tropelía.

El caso es que esta usuaria  buscó un objetivo a priori interesante, porque mi relato La última nota  ha sido el texto con el que más he ganado en Steemit, $76,20 en total, $57,17 después del reparto. Lo que ocurrió es que la ballena @blocktrades pasaba por allí y lo votó y todos sabemos lo que ocurre  cuando una ballena nos vota,  de forma automática nuestro artículo se convierte en uno de los más visitados y votado. 

Esta ladrona pensó:

 «Sí con el texto en español esta pardillo ganó esa 57 pavos, si lo traduzco al inglés, a lo mejor suena la flauta y gano algo con el texto».

Lo cierto es que no fue así, porque no obtuvo ningún tipo de beneficio.

Sin embargo,  me pregunto qué hubiese pasado si ese texto hubiese alcanzado una cantidad importante de dinero. Pues me hubiese  molestado mucho,  ya no por el hecho de que yo podría haber ganado algún tipo de dinero con la traducción,  porque lo he traducido y algo estoy ganando, (aquí está el texto traducido por mí) sino por la acción en sí misma de @icyy, que no tuvo ningún tipo de reparo en atracarme mano armada, a un compañero de su propia comunidad  y eso sí que me parece una falta de respeto absoluta,  ya no solo a mí,  sino a todos los que formamos esta comunidad. 

Tenemos un serio problema con el plagio y también con la piratería  y no se debería permitir que eso ocurra aquí. 

Habría que buscar algún tipo de metodología eficaz que evitarse estos tipos de comportamientos y cuando se comprueben, fehacientemente, que hubo plagio, estos usuarios deberían de ser expulsados de la comunidad  y si no expulsados,  por lo menos inhabilitarlos durante un tiempo,  porque no estamos hablando de prestigio,  a los plagiadores le da exactamente igual el prestigio,  sino de dinero  y cuando hablamos de dinero,  estamos hablando de que cuando un plagiador gana  un céntimo,  ese céntimo lo está dejando de ganar un steemitans que está trabajando de manera correcta y cuando eso ocurre es que el sistema no funcionaba todo lo bien que quisiéramos. 

Todos sabemos lo que cuesta hacer contenidos originales para que unos desalmados nos lo copien y además pretendan lucrarse con su fechoría.

Sí, ya sé que hay mucha polémica respecto a lo que he comentado en el párrafo anterior, ¿quiénes hacen de jueces? pero, ¿qué hacemos ante un caso tan flagrante como este, con pruebas tan contundentes? ¿Dejarlos que sigan haciendo lo que les dé la gana, perjudicando al resto que intentamos hacer nuestro trabajo de la mejor manera posible?
