Thanks, Stan Lee

Two months ago Stan Lee, creator of the Hulk, or La Masa as I knew him in the 1970s, died, but he also created Spiderman, Thor, The Avengers and The Fantastic Four.
I have to say that I didn't know who Stan Lee was until many years ago, too many perhaps, but his stories contributed to my having a more transient childhood in the hard years of boarding school.
Looking back over his biography, I read that he wanted to be a writer of successful novels, but never succeeded and dedicated his life to creating one of the most important superhero sagas in comic history; something for which he will always be remembered and for which we can never stop thanking him.
As I said I was an unconditional fan of Hulk, the comic I read the most in my childhood, along with Spiderman and Thor.
I remember that to buy them I collected the little money I made selling copper, lead and cardboard. After reading them, I exchanged them with friends and continued reading the saga of my favorite superhero.
I won't forget that my years at boarding school were spent reading Stan Lee's comics and that I also spent telling his stories to my boarding school classmates. I still remember sitting them at snack time and while they ate the chocolate bread and drank a bag of three hundred milliliters of fresh milk from Sandra, I would tell them the stories I had read from Hulk, from Spiderman or Thor. Although I have to say that, on more than one occasion, I used my imagination to continue with the stories I read, adding new plots and dialogues.
I've always said that I started out as a writer at boarding school and that my foundations were strengthened by telling the stories of my superheroes and the trailers of the films they exhibited at the Scala cinema in my neighbourhood.
So, in an indirect way, I owe Stan Lee a part of who I am now and how I have to tell the stories I tell.
Thank you, Stan Lee.

¿Qué he leído?

Fisheye

I usually take photos of the graffiti that I find because they seem to me to be urban art that, on many occasions, is of unquestionable quality and they have nothing to envy to normalized art.
In this case, this is one of them. I don't know if the yellow hands were part of it; I think not, that the yellow hands appeared later. The good thing is that they respected graffiti. It is not the first time that I find some graffiti scribbled by others who only want to destroy this urban art.
If we stop to observe the graffiti we realize that the eye becomes, at times, a big fish that watches us, with its two fins, dorsal and caudal, that encourage us to let ourselves be carried by our gaze, to navigate the seas that our eyes offer us, because they are like fish that look for new directions. We only have to let ourselves be carried away by our eyes and by our gaze, to look not only at what we have in front of us, but to go further and look at what many see, without stopping to enjoy what the world has to offer them.

Tranquility

Taking life in peace and enjoying it should be one of the first objectives of our passage through this world because, you only have to look around you, we walk too fast, wanting to get as soon as possible to our destination, finish as quickly as possible the daily tasks, a run that affects us in a silent way and can break our lives without realizing it.
That's why we have to stop and look for that space to find ourselves, breathe and enjoy the moment and try to live life in a slower way. Our head and our health will thank us.
When I saw this person lying on the beach, on that beach puff, I thought we should all do like him, look for the time to lie down to disconnect from the worldly noise and try to disappear for a while and meet again with our self and he is the only thing that matters. Nothing else matters.
I know it's difficult because the world around us pushes us from all directions, but we have to try.

¿Qué he visto en Netflix?

Dissatisfied

I'm not a painter, I want to make that clear; I respect the art of painting a lot, but lately it relaxes me a lot to paint and for it I use Paint, the so famous application of Windows, that allows me to develop some idea that I have in my head. As is the case here, in which I wanted to reflect how square we are and that we need the disconformity, the distortion to continue living because otherwise, we would drown in so much rectitude.
I started the idea by throwing straight lines that I was then converting into geometric figures, which the program allowed me to completely complete the picture and, at the end, paint the center with the palette without having a predefined concept, only the discrepancy with the straight lines.
I chose the center to paint the discrepant lines because this is how many of us in this society feel, surrounded by lines to follow, laws, norms and rules, without being able to do anything else but cultivate nonconformity.
